Spanish; feminin equivalent of rojo (red).
Dry and explosive flamenco guitar, the Roja - just like any flamenca - is named after the color of the back and sides wood (padauk). The aesthetics reffers to the european and middle eastern tradition, with a wooden tiered rosette and slotted headstock.
The percussive sound is enhanced by the lower action, resulting in a slight buzz.
While the headstock design is traditionnal, the pegs aren't : their planetary gears allow more precision in the tuning and more stability over time.
Please note that a regular action should not be set on a percussive calibration as it would be damaging for the instrument.
